Historical Background

SEETA-University (Science, Environment, Engineering, Technology and Agriculture University) is situated in Mbalala, within Mukono District, 7 Kms East of Mukono town along Kampala – Jinja Highway. The concept of the university was conceived in the late 2000s by its founder, with the goal of providing comprehensive and high-quality education. The objective was to cultivate academically exceptional individuals who possess strong moral values.

SEETA University intends to be the leading University of Science, Environment, Engineering, Technology, and Agriculture in Uganda. This institution aims to attain regional recognition and global influence by incorporating the best educational programs from around the world, making them accessible.

The university is centered around four key principles: Contemporary Technology, Competence-Based Education, Co-operative Education, and Entrepreneurship. These principles are supported by strategic initiatives aimed at promoting student and faculty success, fostering external engagement, and embracing inclusivity.

SEETA University aspires to bridge Uganda's skills gap, facilitate economic growth, and cultivate regional and global partnerships, all in line with Uganda's Vision 2040, NDP IV Strategic Direction (2025/26 – 2029/30), African Union Agenda 2063, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
